Traci holds a Master's Degree in Applied Behavioural Sciences (Systems Counselling) from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington (1995) and a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria (1990).

Traci maintains standing as a clinical member of two professional associations:

  • Registered Clinical Counsellor-Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS #1406), BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)

  • Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT #2017227) with the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT).

Her post-graduate coursework and training include:

  • EMOTIONALLY FOCUSSED THERAPY (EFT):
    Traci is a Certified EFT Therapist through the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focussed Therapy (ICEEFT). 

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)
    Advanced-level training in EMDR for the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety and other emotional and behavioural issues. 

Traci started her career in 1988 as a Child and Youth Care Worker in Victoria on an in-patient psychiatric ward at Jack Ledger House (Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health). In 1992, she began counselling at-risk youth and adolescents and their families in the local high school system. From 1994 until 2006, she was a clinician on a multi-disciplinary child and youth mental health team in Victoria. This team provides services to children, youth and their families on behalf of the provincial Ministry of Children and Family Development. 

For more than a decade, Traci has run a busy private practice from her home office in the Mount Doug / Gordon Head area of Victoria.
